our approach

Once you have decided to develop your online presence with Raspberry Design, we will help you to develop a project plan, so that everyone involved in the project is aware of the project's requirements, time scales and budget.

The Raspberry Approach is based around a five-step plan, which ensures that everyone is fully informed throughout the project. The stages of this plan are detailed below.

1. listen

The first stage is all about us finding out about you. At our initial meeting, you tell us about yourself, your business and your goals. For example, we will ask about your existing customers and target audience, your main competitors, how you want your brand to be perceived, and your business, marketing and communication objectives.

2. respond

We prepare a creative brief based on the information you provided in the initial meeting, and arrange a second meeting to discuss our proposal. The creative brief is essentially the project plan. It contains details of concepts and strategies for your web site and a breakdown of costs and timescales.

The more feedback you can give us at this stage the better. We want to make sure your project moves forward smoothly and meets your deadlines, so this is the best time to raise any issues or ask any questions.

Once the creative brief is approved, we proceed with the design.

3. design

Design is always a subjective art, so based on the information gathered in the initial meetings, we create a design concept, which we review with you. You are encouraged to provide as much feedback as possible on the design, and we work with you to resolve any issues you may have. We also encourage you to obtain feedback on the design from members of your target audience, so that you can be confident that you are communicating the right message.

4. develop

When you are happy with the design concept, we start to construct the website. This involves creating all pages, adding content, and linking database and programming components.

When the site is fully constructed, it is ready for testing. We proofread all site content and perform detailed testing of database and programming functionality. Once this is complete, and you have approved the final site, it can go live.

Typical products or contract deliverables at the end of this stage should include:

- Finished HTML for all Web pages, all page content in place
- Finished navigation link structure
- All programming in place and linked to pages, ready for beta testing
- All database components in place and linked to site pages
- All graphic design, illustration, and photography in place
- Final proofreading of all site content
- Detailed testing of database and programming functionality

5. maintain

Raspberry design offers a comprehensive web site maintenance package, which ensures that your site stays fresh, up to date, and interesting to returning customers. We also suggest new strategies and online marketing campaigns to make sure you stay ahead of the competition.

Monthly reports keep you informed of your site's performance, and contain detailed information about activity on the website in the preceding month, including number of visits, visits by country, length of visit, top search terms used to find your site, and much more. Information is tailored to individual needs and includes detailed explanation and analysis of all figures.
